There is so much inspiration and unique beauty about our latest collaboration colour, it’s a challenge to know where to begin.

To start, Ophelia nail polish is a shade of deep red teal, which sounds like madness on its own. Lucky for us, it’s fitting for the theme of this collaboration! The addition of multi-coloured aurora flakies makes Ophelia nail polish a triumph amongst tragedy, with endless dimension and shine.

For inspiration, Soph @thepolishblog, turned to John Everett Millais’ melancholy re-imaging of Ophelia’s tragedy. Rich, pigmented shades grace the canvas, and Soph wanted to add a sense of hope shown through the violets at the funeral. The quote from Hamlet, “Lay her i’ th’ earth, and from her fair and unpolluted flesh may violets spring,” inspired the combination of colours. Prepare for multiple curtain calls when wearing flakie nail polish!

Start with clean and dry nails.

Apply a base coat like Ridge Filling B|C.

Next, give the nail polish a good shake.

Apply a thin coat and allow it dry for 2-3 min.

Next, apply a second coat using the usual amount of polish and let it air dry for 3 to 4 minutes.

Lastly, apply a top coat like Fast Dry T|C.
