This teal flakie nail polish inspired by John Everett Millais’ poignant portrayal of Ophelia, was created in 2024, by @thepolishblog. Soph sought to capture the artwork’s blend of tragedy and hope.

Flakie nail polish: creates a “confetti-like” and luxurious multi-dimensional effect on your nails.
Teal nail polish: this teal flakie nail polish is infused with aurora flakes that dance gracefully like lilies on a pond.

How To

Nail Polish Application Guide

Begin with clean and dry nails.

Apply a base, such as Ridge Filling B|C or Naked Nail Care B|C

Shake nail polish well before use.

Apply a thin layer of polish and allow it to dry for 2-3 minutes.

Next, apply a second layer using the standard amount of polish, letting it air dry for 3 to 4 minutes.

Finish with a topcoat like Fast Dry T|C.

Alternatively, you can use Top’n Base for a versatile all-in-one solution.

Finally, prioritise your Nail Care to ensure your nails look fabulous!

Achieving Wudu-Friendly Nails

For a Wudu-friendly manicure, apply two thin layers of nail products using the following combinations:

Base coat then nail polish
Nail polish then topcoat
Nail Polish on its own: one or two layers

One of my favourites

I absolutely adore this nail polish. It's got a deep blue base with lots of glitter small and larger particles that give it almost an oil slick rainbow look. It's just stunning, I look at my hands regularly when wearing it. It's opaque in 2 coats for me, i have xs short square nails, so maybe 3 coats for someone with longer nails. Lasts about a week on my nails. This is my second bottle and will continue to purchase. I just love all formulas I have tried from picture polish.

Really pretty

Builds up to a nice very dark teal. Flakies look great in all lights, especially in lower light they glow a pretty blue. 100% recommend

My new obesession

I had high hopes for this colour and she does not disappoint! Ophelia is a stunning deep teal but the different hues in the glitter really give it some extra oomph. I've also discovered she's a gorgeous layering polish - I added her over the top of a dark blue to get a really rich midnight glitter. LOVE.
